About The Neighborhood
Miller’s Boulevard Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The neighborhood was platted in August 1907 – three months before statehood – by George Miller, one of Oklahoma City’s earliest homebuilders. George and Nellie Miller moved into their newly built home now known as the “Miller Mansion” in 1915. Some of the neighborhood streets are named after members of this family including the well traveled streets of May Avenue and Villa Avenue. Interestingly, Villa Avenue was supposed to be named Willa Avenue after one of the Miller daughters however due to a transcription error at the court house, the street was named Villa Avenue. Other streets in the neighborhood, Ross and Linn, were also named by and after the Miller family. Our home sits on the Miller main street, Miller Boulevard, next door to the historic “Miller Mansion”. Kramer House periodically has served as the neighborhood headquarters for the Miller – Mantels And Trees Holiday Home Tour and the Miller in May Home Tour and will continue to do so.
